A fantastic midcentury walnut bedroom suite by American of Martinsville for their Dania line, by Merton Gershun, consisting of a low dresser, gentleman’s chest, two nightstands, and a king size headboard.
Low Dresser:
This nine-drawer low dresser features a central pair of cabinet doors flanked by three drawers on either side. The doors open via long brass and wood pulls to reveal three drawers. The outer drawers have louvered fronts—the pulls are set in the underside of the central louver on each drawer. The top of this piece has been refinished in house. This piece sits atop tapered turned legs connected by a suspended stretcher base with thin brass accents. Some small cracks to outer edge of left side louvers have been repaired. Some light finish wear throughout other than top. In great condition.

Gentleman’s Chest:
This piece features a pair of upper cabinet doors which open via long brass and wood pulls set above three lower drawers. The pair of two-paneled cabinet doors have a simple beautifully-grained marquetry pattern. They open to reveal four small inner drawers. The large lower drawers have louvered fronts—the pulls are set in the underside of the central louver on each drawer. This piece sits atop tapered turned legs connected by a sculpted suspended stretcher base with thin brass accents. There is some wear to finish throughout including some small chips to veneer—see pics. In great vintage condition.

Pair of Nightstands:
Each nightstand features a pair of drawers which open via long brass and wooden pulls. The drawer faces have a simple beautifully-grained marquetry pattern. They sit atop tall slender tapered turned legs connected by a floating stretcher base. there is some light wear throughout including some small chips to veneer—see pics. In great vintage condition.

Headboard:
This king size headboard has a simple rectangular design with raised vertical wooden accents forming seven panels running the width of the back. It sits atop three sturdy square legs. Some light wear to finish. In great vintage condition.
