A fantastic, midcentury, walnut and pecan tall chest by Kent Coffey for “The Auburn” collection. This piece is separated into two sections. The lower section features two drawers which open via long brass pulls with small white star motifs at their ends. The upper, semi-articulated section features three more drawers which open via small, brass knob pulls with the same star motifs as the lower drawer pulls. The top is bordered on each side by an angled ridge which runs down the front of the case, into which the drawers nearly tuck at each edge. This piece sits atop beautiful, sculpted, articulated legs with metal capped, ball feet. There is some wear throughout, mostly in the form of crackling to finish and slight discoloration at top—see pics. The brass finish to ball feet is mostly worn off. This piece is in good vintage condition—it is eye-catching and still presents beautifully.
